Terms of Service

UltiFood provides recipe, meal-planning, grocery, inventory, and related household tools on the web and on Android. Some features, including Smart Plan and paid marketplace content, require a paid plan or a separate purchase. iOS is not part of this release.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features as the product evolves. If a change materially reduces a paid feature you currently receive, we will provide notice when reasonably practical.

You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account. Household members you invite can see and change shared recipes, plans, grocery lists, and inventory for that household.

UltiFood is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required where you live. Do not create an account for a child below that age.

You retain ownership of recipes, photos, lists, and other content you submit. You grant UltiFood a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, display, and process that content as needed to operate the service, including syncing it across web and Android for your household.

If you publish or share content, other people may view, save, or use it according to the sharing settings you choose. Public recipes and creator listings are visible to anyone. Receipt images and grocery purchase history stay private to your household unless you opt into a specific sharing feature.

You represent that you have the rights needed to submit your content and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights. We may remove content that violates these terms or applicable law.

Nutrition facts, ingredient mappings, and related estimates are informational tools. They are not medical, dietary, or allergen advice, and they may be incomplete, estimated, or wrong. Always check original packaging and consult a qualified professional for health, allergy, or nutrition decisions.

UltiFood is not a substitute for reading food labels. Do not rely on the app as your only check for allergens, dietary restrictions, or medical nutrition needs.

Paid UltiFood Pro subscriptions are billed through our web payment provider. Taxes, renewals, and cancellation are handled in the billing portal linked from your account. Unused time is not refunded except where required by law.

The Android app can use an existing Pro entitlement from your UltiFood account. In-app Google Play purchases for Pro or paid marketplace items are not offered in this release. Paid marketplace checkout, when available, is completed on the web.

Marketplace prices, creator payouts, and platform fees are shown at the time of listing or purchase. Creator-specific rules are in the Creator Terms.

You agree not to:

• Misuse the service, interfere with other users, or attempt unauthorized access;
• Scrape, overload, or reverse engineer the service except as allowed by law;
• Upload malware, or content that is unlawful, infringing, or harmful;
• Use UltiFood to provide medical, allergen, or nutrition advice to others as if it were a clinical source; or
• Misrepresent reviews, ratings, or marketplace listings.

The Android app is distributed as com.ultifood.app. App features that need camera access (receipt scan, barcode lookup, recipe import) only work if you grant the permission. Push notifications are not part of this release.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information on web and Android.

UltiFood is provided “as is.” We do not warrant that recipe imports, grocery prices, inventory quantities, receipt scans, or nutrition values will be accurate, complete, or uninterrupted. Third-party sites, stores, and payment processors have their own terms.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, UltiFood and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to UltiFood is limited to the greater of CAD $50 or the amount you paid us for the service in the three months before the claim.

Some places do not allow certain limitations. In those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

We may update these terms. The revised terms will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. If you continue to use UltiFood after the change, you accept the updated terms. You may stop using UltiFood and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you violate these terms or if we shut down the service.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Halifax, Nova Scotia have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
